Mourn, Proclaim, Pray: Join Us January 22nd

On January 22, 2019, at 11:30 am Christians will gather in uptown Charlotte to hold a Roe V. Wade Memorial Service at the corner of Trade St. and Tryon St. During this gathering we will remember the precious lives that have been lost to abortion since 1973; when the Supreme Court determined that unborn children were not deserving of the right to life under the laws of this land. That Supreme Court decision that we all remember as Roe Vs. Wade, was a tragic and grievous decision that has left an unimaginable mark on our nation, our states, our cities, and on individual lives.

We gather in the public square not to protest, but to mourn the loss of 60 million precious lives and to mourn the damage that the sin of abortion has done to so many lives and families.  We gather not only to mourn, but also to proclaim that God is faithful to keep His word. We have all heard what 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If My people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land!” We’ve heard these words preached numerous times and even quoted them ourselves.  But have we truly heeded these words? Have we truly humbled ourselves? Join Cities4Life, Love Life, and area churches and Christians for this event as we humble ourselves before the Lord and call on Him to heal our land.

There will be a time of worship and a time to reflect on the travesty abortion is, as well as a time of rejoicing over the great things the Lord is doing in our city. We’ll hear testimonies from moms who have chosen life, post-abortive moms, and others. Please join us, but plan to arrive a little early because parking will be a bit of a challenge.
