God Uses C4L and A Song to Save A LIFE

 |

Last February, I met J in pouring rain in front of the abortion center. Her story was chronicled in this blog post (https://charlotte.cities4life.org/she-chose-homelessness-over-abortion/). I knew she didn’t really want to abort, but she had a tragic, difficult story. She came from one of the poorest communities in the United States. Her situation was so dire that if I were less certain of the value of ALL unborn life, I could understand why she had showed up to kill her child.

While she chose life, she wavered in that choice.  For three days, she wrestled with God and did not respond to my texts. The outpouring of tangible help from C4L supporters as well as the sharing of the Gospel which led her to the Lord tipped the scale for her. She has stayed in touch, and recently sent me this testimony of those dark days early on and then how God led her to the joy she now finds in her baby. Rejoice with us that she who was lost now is found.

When we first met it was at an abortion clinic. I was scared and crying- just emotional. After talking to you, I felt better and no longer wanted to go thru with the abortion. A few days go by and honestly I was thinking about going back to terminate the baby. I remember I was on YouTube clicking random videos. I came across this video. I took it as a sign from God because the lyrics are so powerful and I remember thinking about the 2 miscarriages I had earlier that year and how I thought I couldn’t bear kids anymore and how hurt I was. Yet here I was pregnant and trying to abort her!

I cried and thought God is blessing me with someone to love me unconditionally.  I was still scared. How was I going to raise her? Thanks to you Vicky, Cities4Life, and everyone who sent gifts for D! God bless you for everything. I’m extremely grateful to you. (J shared a video of some of the items that our wonderful Facebook followers sent to her through an amazon wishlist our baby shower ministry set up check it out here)

Oh, the song is called Untold by Mathew West

Now here’s Miss D happy and healthy…

Baby "D" saved from abortion

The Lord uses various people, circumstances, and even songs to reach abortion-minded women and bring the hope of His Gospel to them. Cities4Life is humbled to just be a part of what God is doing. Please consider joining with us my covering this ministry in prayer on a weekly basis. Your financial support would also be a blessing as we continue to train up new volunteers and connect women like “J” with much needed resources. Also please consider volunteering on the sidewalks once a week, bi-weekly, or once a month. Anything you can do you to help us stand for LIFE would be a tremendous blessing.
