Exciting News from Cities4Life Charlotte

We have exciting news!  Last week here in Charlotte we saw 15 babies saved from abortion!  That’s 15 families who won’t have to live with the pain and regret of abortion and 15 babies who will get a chance to live!  Praise God for the awesome work he is doing through Cities4Life!

And even more exciting news, Cities4Life is growing, and in order to keep up with all God is doing here in Charlotte, we have felt the need to add another staff member.  We are pleased to introduce to you, Vicky Kaseorg, as our Volunteer Coordinator.  Vicky is certainly a name most of you will find familiar, she has been our Monday Team Leader for the past 3½ years.  Vicky is a wife, mother, writer, artist and blogger.  She never expected to be a sidewalk counselor, but after shadowing a counselor as research for a new book she was writing, she quickly felt the call of God to become more involved, and it is obvious to everyone she meets that this is indeed what she is called to.  Her passion and love for these women and their unborn babies radiates from her, as well as her passion and love for Jesus!

Vicky writes, “I was so excited when this position was offered to me.  I have volunteered for 3 ½ years now as a sidewalk counselor, and I’m always gratified, amazed, and blessed by the number of women who choose life and even give me the privilege of leading them to the Lord.  I have always loved the Cities4Life model of not only speaking the truth of The Gospel to save babies, but also providing real help and resources to the women for as long as they will let us follow them.  That portion of our work has become even more blessed and easier since Love Life Charlotte has begun training and providing mentors to these women.

The abortion center sidewalk is such a fertile field for bringing the hope and truth of the gospel to troubled and often desperate people.  They all know something in their life is askew but they don’t always know what.  Many of them respond to the transformative message and hope of faith in Jesus Christ.  We’ve seen so many lives changed.

It is very gratifying to see new volunteers who desire to follow God’s call to be a voice for the voiceless and help the weak and vulnerable among us.  I love training these new volunteers and seeing the incredible array of God’s unique gifting to each of them and how remarkably He uses each one of us to bring about His miracles.”

We are so blessed to have Vicky on board in an official capacity, and we look forward to the growth we know she will bring to Cities4Life.  Are you interested in getting involved?  Our teams minister 6 days a week and we are in need of more volunteers to bring help and hope to one of the darkest places in Charlotte.  We would love for you to connect with Vicky, come out and shadow her on the frontlines and see what our ministry is all about first hand.  It will change your life, guaranteed!  You can contact her at vkaseorg@cities4life.com for more information, or you can visit our volunteer page here.  Or you can come and meet Executive Director Daniel Parks and Vicky this Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 2-5 pm at the Love Life Culture Conference and attend the Frontlines Ministry breakout session to learn more about our ministry.  For more information and for tickets click on the link here!
